• Cartimare® Plus is a versatile combination product to support an active lifestyle and is particularly suitable for
aging individuals and those whose joints are subjected to intense stress.
• The health of the articular cartilage is a key condition for joint well-being. Articular cartilage acts as a sliding surface
and shock absorber between two bones in the joint, protecting the ends of the bones that form the joint. There are
no blood vessels or nerves in the articular cartilage. In a healthy person, normal articular cartilage is constantly
renewed. Moderate exercise is important for the joints, as it helps preserve and even increase the structural and
mechanical properties of the articular cartilage.
• Glucosamine is a substance found in articular cartilage, which is naturally present in joints, cartilage, and spinal discs.
Cartilage consists of glucosaminoglycans and proteoglycans. If the production of these weakens, the joint cartilage
is damaged and becomes painful. Glucosamine is a substance that limits this process, so taking it as a dietary
supplement can increase the body's own glycan production.
• The plant-based glucosamine hydrochloride is produced from maize-derived glucose using fermentation,
without organic solvents. Maize is carefully removed from the product; however, the product is still not
recommended for people with a maize allergy.
• Phytodroitin™ seaweed extract is an ecological plant-based alternative to fish-derived chondroitin. It is made from
a blend of seaweed extracts, which guarantees full sustainability, quality, and purity.
• OptiMSM® methylsulfonylmethane is an organic, water-soluble sulfur compound that occurs naturally in the
human body. Its concentrations are highest especially in joints, muscles, skin, nails, and hair. Sulfur is obtained, for
example, from the amino acids methionine and cysteine. MSM is easily absorbed, while sulfur in its other forms is
difficult for the body to utilize.
