The great-tasting and natural Islamax contains extracts made from Icelandic moss, field horsetail, thyme, and anise seeds. They have traditionally been used for their expectorant properties and to support the well-being of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and lungs.

The active ingredients in the herbs contained in Islamax, lichenin and isolichenin, are known to have the following effects:
